Prayer Request

Please pray for the people of Southern California. I'm sure most of you are praying already, but I'm making a special request for our bloggy friend Mishel and her family. Her husband is a firefighter and her daughter is about to give birth. You can go over to her blog for more details about what's happening with them. Please include them in your prayers.

Maxine, we have been watching the news of the fires in California, we just cannot believe the devastation..

We are having our fair share of fires here in Australia too, but nothing compared to what CA is experiencing

We heard that 1 million people were evacuated, we just cannot imagine that many people, which is half the population of Sydney being relocated to safe areas.

They are all most definately in our prayers.

I just found out that my sister lives only 2 miles from the blazing fires and her daughter had to be hospitalized for smoke inhalation. She's scared and without family there, so do pray. We got disconnected for about 6 days, and I got the news only today.

I just dropped my dad off early this morning at the train station in our town, and he's headed back to So. Cali where the fires are raging. He's a funny guy; he never worries about anything. When he left they were near his area, but he didn't give it a thought. For other "normal" people, people who have cause to worry and who do, and those who have already lost everything, it's quite an opportunity for the Lord to minister to them in a big way. I pray for open hearts.
